If you ask your tech team, whats more annoying than resolving bug ?? Most of them would say its “A poorly captured bug report”
Bugs are not bad, they provide immense learning for the product, design and the tech teams. So we spoke to the stakeholders in the bug workflow incl PM’s, Designers, Developers and QA teams.
This is wat the tech teams had to say ->
- Vague bugs, with unclear title and little or no descriptions or details.
- Unable to replicate issues in their devices !!
- Juggling between tasks in roadmap and bugs that have been logged into excel or whatsapp chats, causing too much frustration.
Well these are valid issues. So we turned to the other stakeholder here( PM and QA ), they didn hold back too. Some of the issues :
- Need to record the bug in mobile, then share via mobile watsapp and download in web whatspp
- Have to open JIRA or Notion and create a bug card or issue task and add title, descriptions, assign developers and sprint dates, and embed the downloaded video.
- Despite all this, the developers come back for more info !!
This is when we realised the need for a very simple tool, that will simply this bug workflow and smoothen the bug communication process between teams.
BUGIRA — is a mobile app and web extension, that helps users to record bugs in their devices and explain the issues (as if they are talking to the developer directly) and also highlight them on screen using marker tools.
Now these recordings can be instantly via Whatsapp, Slack, Telegram etc.
With a easy one time integration, we can now create bug tickets directly into notion or JIRA.
Jira is free to use. Download and try it out @
